Standing Review Committee In Place |
|
Per the requirements of a reformed public procurement system, ODPP wishes to advise all bidders and stakeholders of the setting up of a Standing Review Committee in accordance with Section 37 of the Act. According to Section 38 (6) and Section 38 (8) of the Act, the Committee is mandated to decide upon appeals brought to the Director of Public Procurement regarding any bidder who feels to have suffered loss or injury as regards the bidding process. The Committee determines the matter after looking at the complaint and the facts before it. Presently there are nine members in the committee who have vast experience in different fields of procurement and procurement procedures. Time for bidders to suffer in silence is long gone. The Standing Review Committee is there to ensure that the pillars of prudent public procurement are properly followed. Make good use of this Committee.
